Years ago they had to make an impossible choice, and the results of that choice had unexpected consequences.

Not all of them are lost.

I don't know if it's the same for the Kree. I'd like it to be, but...

Too many of them are too far up their own asses.

I know for the Psy, a lot of it stems from the ruling Council, and cascaded downward. Perhaps its the same for your Kree as well.

The Kree are led by a Supreme Intelligence, an AI formed from "the greatest minds of the past Kree." Basically, it just means they've been feeding themselves the same bullshit excuses for war for generations.

It's no reason to dismiss an entire race just because those in a position of power take advantage of that power.

Who challenges them? Most people might not have reason to even think otherwise.

No Kree questions the Supreme Intelligence. It's just not done. They're all good little soldiers. Obedient warrior heroes, carrying out the Supreme Intelligence wishes across the galaxy.

Humans and Changelings believed that about the Psy not too long ago too.

I'd like to believe they could change. I do still care about some of them. They took me in and treated me as one of their own.

Granted, they were lying to me and holding me back without me knowing it the whole time, but...

Suffice to say, it's complicated.

The Psy Council implemented Silence over 100 years ago in an effort to cure the race's tendency towards mental breaks. For a while it appeared to have succeeded, but in wiping emotion, it created a rot in the PsyNet--the source of biofeedback that allows most Psy to survive.

There have been multiple high profile defections that have lead to open discussions about the Silence Protocol, and sides are being chosen. War is on the horizon.

[For 7 years, he and his two fellow rebels have done what they can to destabilize the power structure that held his people in a death grip. They succeeded. SnowDancer needs him more now, to protect the pack from the inevitable ensuing fallout.]

It's now up for the Psy to decide for themselves which way to fall.
